Upon it’s founding, the Shizuoka distillery owners purchased some of the left over equipment from the defunct Karuizawa distillery and it was in a ex-Karuizawa still that this fine whisky was created. Distilled from half imported malt and half home-grown malt, it was then aged for 3 years in bourbon barrels, before being bottled.
