Karuizawa Cask Strength 1999-2000 Vintages Fugaku Sanjurokkei 2nd Release
Let’s start with something affordable, rhe Karuizawa Cask Strength 1999-2000 (59.5%) is one of the later vintages from this legendary distillery. Unlike most Karuizawa bottles you are likely to find, this one is actually bottled at the distillery itself! If you’d like to own a little bit of whisky history, then this is your bottle.

Karuizawa x Kawasaki Time Slip Cask 6432
A blend from two legendary distilleries, Karuizawa and Kawasaki, containing Karuizawa malt and Kawasaki grain. It is bottled at 43% with only 282 bottles ever released. The contents were distilled in 1970 and then ‘forgotten’ until 2015, when it was bottled. If you’d like to know what this 35- year-old quality whisky really tastes like, then give this a try!

Karuizawa 1981 Sherry Cask 6256
A sensational Karuizawa from the famed 1981 vintage. This fantastic, cask strength dram was fully matured in a first fill sherry cask. It is deep, rich, and complex, with a wonderful mix of sweet, savory aromas and flavors. It is safe to say that this is the sort of cask that helped cement Karuizawa’s reputation as Japan’s finest distillery.

Karuizawa 1984 30 Year Old Cask Single Cask #7843 / Samurai
This bottle is from the ten casks bottled with different Samurai depicted on the labels. It was left to mature in a Sherry Butt Cask for 30 years and was then finally bottled in 2015, with 458 bottles being released. The accompanying box is beautiful and has the Japanese character for Samurai on it.

Karuizawa 1978 Glass Decanter 21 Year Old Single Malt
This exceedingly rare 1978 vintage of Karuizawa was bottled for Mercian (a Japan-based wine and spirits division of Kirin). Beautifully presented in a glass decanter along with a replacement stopper and neck tag, which remains unopened. Only 506 bottles were released.

Karuizawa 1967 Vintage 45 Year Old #2725
This bottle is the second oldest vintage Karuizawa bottling ever released; it is also among the rarest, as there is only one cask of Karuizawa 1967 vintage in the world. Its combination of flavor, complexity, and strength make it awesome!

This beauty was left to mature in the finest sherry butt cask since 1967 for a whopping 45 years! Only 310 bottles were made available from this cask. What are you waiting for? Grab it while it is still here!

The Geisha Bottles
The Geisha series is among our favorites, most of them were distilled around 2000, making them among the last bottles ever made by this legendary distillery. The labels feature beautiful artwork by Yashima Gakutei, one of the masters of Tokugawa era paintings. The bottles are already a highly coveted collectors item, lucky for you, we have a few!

Karuizawa SMWS Four Bottle Set
The Scotch Malt Whisky Society represents a members-only group of whisky lovers, who are independent bottlers. Originating in Scotland, the group has grown so much that it now has branches in 20 countries, including Japan. And the Japanese branch does not only bottle Scotch, but also Nikka, and now, Karuizawa. With five bottles – each of them specially marked – this set is about as economical per bottle as Karuizawa will ever be, and is as good as Karuizawa will ever be, too!

Karuizawa Tokyo Bar Set Show
A set of four bottles, bottled by Number One Drinks Company, specifically for the Tokyo International Bar Show. This is a rare collectors set. You don’t drink this. You keep it, like gold!

Karuizawa Cask Strength 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Release
The ultimate Karuizawa set. Released for Taiwan only, and containing four bottles of cask strength single malts. Matured in sherry butts and bottled in 1999 and 2000, this makes it among the last bottles from Karuizawa. This is a must for the Karuizawa collector, it is also extremely affordable!

Karuizawa Five Decades 1960-2000
Being surely one of the more interesting and elegant Karuizawa bottles anywhere, this was exclusively bottled for the Isetan department store in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Containing a blend from casks of five decades of Karuizawa – the first one from the 1960s and the last one from the 2000s – you can technically say that you have all of Karuizawa in a single bottle here!

Karuizawa 1964 48 Year Old
This is literally the stuff of legends. The Karuizawa 1964 is the oldest Japanese single malt ever, being distilled in 1964 and bottled on Christmas Eve 2012 from sherry cask #3603; this makes it a fabulous 48 years old. In total, 143 bottles were ever released. This is the ultimate collector’s item – an item that you can be sure will not lose value as long as people still want quality whisky.
