This bottle is a wonderful vatting of three expertly crafted barrels of single malt from the Chichibu distillery - one first-fill bourbon, one refill bourbon and one Japanese Mizunara cask. It was bottled at 58.5 % cask strength, with only 10,700 bottles produced and brings baking spices, apples and nutty malt flavours that bounce on the palate, making this another glorious release by the Chichibu distillery. The name speaks for this whisky, and the Japanese whisky industry in general, as Mr Akuto has stated. Aren't we all on the way?
