Suntory is the oldest whisky making company in Japan. Its origins stretch back to a small shop, started in 1899 by Torii Shinjiro, which specialised in selling imported wines. Today, it is the country’s largest and most recognisable producer of quality whisky.
This particular Suntory whisky from the popular Owner’s Cask series was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2006 for the K-G Cask Club. Matured in a hogshead barrel, it brings the famous smoothness and intriguing range of notes that Suntory are famous for producing. As one of only 175 bottles, it’s a rare expression that is hard to get your hands on.
