The Chugoku Juzo brewery/distillery was established in 1918 in Hiroshima and makes whisky on the side. This Togouchi Hiroshima whisky uses Scottish malt and Canadian grains. Aging, blending, and bottling is carried out in Japan though. The blend, therefore, has both a Scottish and Canadian character, not to mention a Japanese soul. This particular Togouchi bottle was released to commemorate the 2017 Central League Championship of the Hiroshima Toyo Carps team. A true collector’s item for fans of whisky and sports.
*This particular bottling was produced prior to the introduction of Japanese whisky labeling standards in February 2021.*
